Using the latest technology, we carry out Class 4 MOTs (light vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes). Approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, DVSA, we carry out MOTs on cars, taxis, ambulances, motorhomes, commercial vehicles, campervans, and more.

Brakes

Andrew Dodds Autocare in Ayr will carry out a brake inspection free of charge. We’ll ensure your braking system is in safe condition, and if not, we can repair anything within the braking system, including brake pipes, discs, pads, callipers, brake shoes and more.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen tyre inflation maintains the correct tyre pressure for your vehicle. Nitrogen has lower leakage than normal air, keeping tyres at ideal pressure for longer. This reduces fuel costs, increases tyre life, improves handling, and lowers CO₂ emissions.

We’re located in a state-of-the-art facility in Heathfield, Ayr, where you’ll find a clean and comfortable waiting room with a viewing area. We also have a separate parent and child waiting room with kid's furniture, toys and books to keep little ones occupied.
